Bring a Trailer consignment - the questions we get asked most.
Straight answers on cost, value, prep, and how we work with sellers across the Treasure Valley.
If your car is worth real money, yes. A consignment partner handles what actually moves the final bid: preparation, honest presentation, photography, and answering every bidder question fast. We've been selling on Bring a Trailer since October 2015, and the difference between a well-prepped, well-presented listing and a rushed one is routinely significant. You cover the work your car needs and a flat marketing fee; our commission comes only when the car sells, so we're pointed at the same result you are.
There are two paths. List it yourself on Bring a Trailer and the photos, listing copy, comments, buyer vetting, title, and shipping are all on you. Consign it with us and you pay for what your car actually needs: any mechanical work, any detailing required to bring it to listing standard, and a flat marketing fee that covers the auction listing, professional photography, and video. Our commission comes only when your car sells. We walk through the exact numbers with you in the valuation conversation - no surprises at closing. See the full breakdown on our consignment page at adamsmotors.com/consignment.
We tell you which upgrades actually raise the sale price and then do the work. Every car gets a concours-level detail from our in-house detail team using Adam's Polishes products, a cryogenic ice-blasted undercarriage, studio photography and video, secure storage through the auction, and full listing and bidder management. That's the same standard as the highest-bid listings on BaT.
